Students may have some level of involvement in a gang if they:
- are obsessed with a particular clothing color
- prefer sagging their pants
- wear jewelery with distinguishing designs
- request a particular logo over others (such as BK- known as “bloody killer” in some areas)
- adopt an unusual desire for privacy and secrecy
- are frequently deceitful about their activities
- are truant or regularly late for school
